Brownian yet non-Gaussian diffusion in heterogeneous media
內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介:A growing number of biological, soft, and active matter systems are
observed to exhibit anormal diffusive dynamics with a linear growth of the mean
square displacement, yet with a non-Gaussian distribution of increments. Based on theChubinsky-Slater idea of diffusing diffusivitiy, we here established and analyze aminimal model framework of diffusion processes with fluctuating diffusivity. Inparticular, we demonstrate the equivalence of diffusing diffusivity processes with asuperstatistical approach with a distribution of diffusivities, at times shorther than thediffusivity correlation time. At longer times, a crossover to a Gaussian distributionwith an effective diffusivity emerges. Specifically, we established a subordinationpicture of Brownian yet not Gaussian diffusion processes, which can be used for awide class of diffusivity fluctuation statistics. Our results are shown to be in excellentagreement with simulations and numerical evaluations.

Flavio Seno,意大利帕多瓦大學(xué)物理系理論凝聚態(tài)理論教授。研究領(lǐng)域?yàn)榈鞍踪|(zhì)、生物化學(xué)、蛋白質(zhì)結(jié)構(gòu)、生物物理學(xué)、統(tǒng)計(jì)力學(xué)、蛋白質(zhì)折疊、蛋白質(zhì)聚合聚合等。共發(fā)表文章128篇,其中SCI66篇,EI20多篇,H指數(shù)為14,被引次數(shù)為2761。
