主題:Vibrating graphene: Route to energy equipartition in square graphene resonators(方形石墨烯諧振器中實(shí)現(xiàn)能量均分的途徑)
內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介:Flexural modes are critical to heat conductivity and mechanical vibration of graphene resonators. In this talk, we will examine solely the out-of-plane flexural modes and identify their energy flow pathway during equipartition process. The modes are found to be grouped into four classes by their distinct symmetries. The couplings are significantly larger within a group than between groups, forming symmetry blockades. As a result, the energy first flows to the modes in the same symmetry class. Breakdown of the symmetry blockade, i.e., inter-class energy flow, starts either due to the Mathieu instability or when inter-class couplings become strong, in small and large initial energy cases, respectively. The equipartition time follows the stretched exponential law, and survives in the thermodynamic limit.
These results bring fundamental understandings to the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam problem in two dimensional systems with complex potentials, and reveal clearly the physical picture of dynamical interactions between the flexural modes, which will be crucial to the understanding of their abnormal contribution to heat conduction and nonlinear mechanical vibrations.

報(bào)告人簡(jiǎn)介
黃亮,蘭州大學(xué)物理學(xué)院萃英特聘教授,博士生導(dǎo)師。于2002年7月和2005年7月分別獲得蘭州大學(xué)物理學(xué)院學(xué)士和理論物理碩士學(xué)位。2008年10月獲得美國(guó)亞利桑那州立大學(xué)博士學(xué)位,之后留校繼續(xù)博士后研究。2009年8月起被聘為亞利桑那州立大學(xué)研究助理教授。2010年9月回國(guó)受聘為蘭州大學(xué)物理學(xué)院萃英特聘教授。2014年獲得基金委優(yōu)青資助。主要從事非線(xiàn)性動(dòng)力學(xué)與復(fù)雜系統(tǒng)、量子混沌、納米器件中的非線(xiàn)性現(xiàn)象等相關(guān)領(lǐng)域的理論研究。發(fā)表論文90余篇,擔(dān)任物理學(xué)報(bào)和Chines Physics B青年編輯等職務(wù)。
